Underneath It All
Bombay Beach, Salton Sea, California
Bombay Beach is an interesting town along the eastern shore of the Salton Sea. A small community still resides in the half abandoned town. Some time ago, shifting water levels flooded the town and a wall was built around it to keep high tides out.
This area of town exists on the outside of the wall and it was once a trailer/RV park. Somehow, it became buried under several feet of mud and sand — trailers and all.
A different view of the trailer with the lawn chair in front of it.
